NFF president Chris Giwa, has insisted that there will be no election on September 4 as planned by the NFF faction called the Interim Nigeria Football Association and assured Nigerians that FIFA will not suspend Nigeria.
“No,no,no there will never be an election on the 4th because we will never allow it and I repeat we will never allow anybody to mess up with the NFF, CAF and FIFA statutes no matter who the person thinks he is. I say this because election is not held under one week,” Giwa said.
Reacting to the warning letter from the world football governing body, Giwa added: “I have no reason to doubt the letter, I want to believe that letter is from FIFA and by the grace of God we are replying them. One thing I know is that we have received the letter and it has asked us to do something and certainly we are going to reply and present our position and we will do it today.
