The Ondo state government had fixed today for the groundbreaking of its muchtalked about shopping malls project.
According to a statement by the states commissioner for information, Kayode Akinmade, the project is part of the Mimiko led adminsitratons efforts to improve infrastructure and commerce in the state.
Akinmade said the development and operation of the shopping malls is capable of providing employment for the local populace, as applicable in major cities of the world adds make Akure a modern retail shopping city and entertainment hub.
Initiated under the publice private partnership (PPP), Governor's office, Akure the project, is a partnership between the state government and topmost services limited which is designed to ensure the development and management of shopping malls and car park in Akure
The project which is located on the premises of Owena Motel, Alagbaka, Akure is expected to be completed within 15months, while owners of shop rite stores have also been identified as the major anchor tenant.
