FAAJI TIMES FOR A CROWN PRINCE, SEGUN ONIRU

Unlike the proverbial rolling stone that gathers no moss, Prince Segun Oniru bowls on the lush side of fortune. Like a skillful merchant, the Lagos State Commissioner for Waterfront Infrastructure Development extends his intellect and business savvy beyond the confines of his office; having carved for himself an alternative niche in the entertainment services sector, he is nestling in a wonderland of great prosperity, as you read. Prince Segun has found his nirvana in his Faaji Restaurant and Wine Bar on Fichley Road, London, United Kingdom (UK). The Lagos Prince is reportedly making a kill from his joint. The popular hangout which is reputed for the freshness and West African-theme of its rich cuisines, wine cellar and serene ambience has become the favourite of many a Nigerian and other West African residents and travelers through London. Incidentally, when Prince Oniru decided to float the restaurant some time ago, some of his friends warned him against it, claiming there was no way it could turn out a profitable venture. They obviously doubted the Lagos Prince’s entrepreneurial acumen and diligence.

Today, that entrepreneurial spirit of the Prince has paid off and he is having a blast spiriting money to the bank from his now viable business venture. Prince Segun is the first son of Oba Idowu Oniru, the Oniru of Iruland, Victoria Island, Lagos. He is also very close to Governor Babatunde Fashola. Besides his London-based restaurant and bar, Prince Segun also owns a chain of business and properties scattered across Lagos. His popular hotel, Timeless, is one such impressive business venture. The crown prince, no doubt intends to ascend the throne of his ancestors as anything but a pauperized trump.
