When Alariwo Of Africa Lits Akure With Laff N Dance



Recently there were flurries of events rolling into Akure but one event that stood out, however, was that Laff N Dance. 

The atmosphere of the prestigious Adegbemile hall in Akure, Ondo State yesterday Saturday 29th June 2013 witnessed undiluted entertainment and fun when multitalented entertainer/producer and songwriter Rotimi Martins popularly known as Alariwo of Africa, drags top comedians and musicians to Akure for the first edition of his show tagged "Laff 'n' Dance".
The versatile entertainer Alariwo, who studied Public Relations but pitched his tent with music as well as anchoring events, said the logistics of having the show outside Lagos was huge but that doesnt deter him from going ahead.

 The hall of about 1500-seater events centre was filled as fun seekers trooped out en masse to enjoy what had been tagged the biggest comedy-music concert in Ondo State.

According to Alariwo, "I am happy that the people of ondo state welcomed us with so much love having known that  indigenes of the state are lovers of the arts.

Members of the audience confirmed that the maiden edition of Alariwo of Africa's Show was the most interesting.

While speaking with journalists, Alariwo says,the logistics was heavy and expensive, but it was possible with the support of God and people like Mayor Akinpelu, Dr. Seye Kehinde and a friend of mine, Steve Bayode, who runs Micro Plus Media. These are the people that supported me and the event was very successful  coupled with some friends in the media and I thank God for making the whole thing go smoothly.

Sighted at the event was Mr Remi Olatubora, the commissioner for Adult Technical and vocational Education in Ondo state.

The maiden edition of Laff n Dance featured top musicians and comedians like Koffi, Omo Baba, Mc Abbey, Funny Bone, Bash, Laff Up, the Omoghetto girls Bimbo Thomas.
 Other highlights of the event include performances by Tinko master, Jaywon, Sola Lori gangan diva Weird MC, producer/songwriter/singer Sunny Neji  and the Alaye Mi crooner LKT,that got the crowd crazy and made the girls scream to the heavens... The show raced into the nights. They kept the crowd on the tips of their toes from start to finish, with special appearance by ace broadcaster/comedian Yemi Sonde.

Indeed, entertainment is back in Akure City
