New NFC MD Dr Danjuma Pledges To Reposition Nigerian Film Industry

  Nigerian Film Corporation (NFC)newly appointed Managing Director, Dr Danjuma Dabo, has expressed his commitment to reposition the corporation. This is contained in a statement issued by Mr Brian Etuk, the Head, Public Affairs, NFC. Dabo who assumed duty on May 22, at the NFC headquarters in Jos, as pledging to re-engineer the Corporation to promote the film industry. He said that the move was crucial for the transformation of the Nigerian film industry to make it one of the best in the world. Dabo also promised that under his leadership, the NFC would work toward the production of cartoons in the three major Nigerian Languages and Pidgin English. He assured filmmakers, members of the various guilds of industry, associations, and other stakeholders to fight piracy to a standstill. He stressed his commitment to make Nigeria the hub of business activities and a destination of the creative industry in Africa. Don't forget that the appointment of Dadu, a marine engineer to head the NFC was rejected by filmmakers.
