Three Students' leaders of the Student Union government of Adeyemi College of Education Ondo (ACE) and Federal University Technology Akure including School of Nursing students have lost their lives in a ghastly motor accident along Abuja-Akure road.
The accident occurred while coming back from an Awards ceremony organised in honour of the governor of Ondo state, Governor Olusegun Mimiko at Sheraton hotel in Abuja by the National Association of Nigerian students NANS . According to a NANS official "NANS officials and some stakeholders had accident on their way back to Akure, from Abuja.....Presidents of the SUG FUTA, ACE and school of nursing died instantly while other's were seriously injured.
Early this morning, some of the victims have been transferred to UCH ibadan for treatment. Commissioner for police and his counterpart commissioner for Health have been informed about the incident.
Consequently, this incident has generated lots of controversial stories among the Nigerian students. It should be noted that, one of the institution, Adeyemi College of Education Ondo is on indefinite strike due to the riot that occurred at institution, that led to damaging of school properties by students of the institute during their demonstration.
