Okwu, a commercial motorcycle rider, usually does his business in the early hours of the day and late in the evening. The whole of the afternoon, he spent in-doors in the company of the three girls. It is learnt that once these girls were locked inside Okwu’s room, they engaged in watching pornographic films, which Okwu would have rented a day before their visit. Okwu reportedly bought food stuffs which one or two of the girls would cook while others busied themselves with pornographic films.

Two days before the hoodlums, sus-pected to be Danfo drivers carried out their heinous crime against the LAST-MA officials, on Tuesday, 10 July, 2012, to be exact, the same LASTMA officials had reportedly impounded a 25-seater LT bus for traffic offence. The seized commercial bus, with registration number LAGOS XT 358 AGL, had been detained under the Iganmu Bridge, and its four tyres were reportedly deflated. On the day the bus was seized and de-tained, it was alleged that its driver had exchanged hot words with the LASTMA officials over the seizure. The driver of the seized bus had allegedly threatened to respond to the acclaimed insult in-flicted on his by the officials.

A suspected retired naval officer, James Korinjoh and one Madu-abuchi Udeh were yesterday paraded by the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, Umaru Abubakar Maku, for illegally transiting and distrib-uting live ammunition across the country. The retired naval officer who was ar-rested on July 10, 2012 had in his posses-sion; 13 packs of ammunition concealed in 26 parks of men inner wears and bags of beans. Each of the 13 parks has 25 live cartridges, totaling 8,450 live cartridges. The suspect was arrested by a team of police officers attached to the Trade Fair Police Division, Lagos, while on routine surveillance. According to the CP, the ammunition was concealed in 26 bags loaded in a white Volkswagen bus with registration number XT 537 LSD, coming from Seme Boader enroute Balogun Market before it was intercepted at the Trade Fair Com-plex, Lagos. He said: “Based on suspicion, the said vehicle was brought to the station and a search which revealed the concealed am-munition was conducted. Also, a navy Warrant Officer’s uniform, ID card, be-ret, cap and shoes were recovered from the said vehicle. “The suspect was subsequently ar-rested and interrogated.
