The Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, has engaged Air Component Commanders across the Nigerian Air Force’s operational theatres as part of efforts to strengthen intelligence-led, coordinated and effective air operations in support of national security.
The engagement provided a strategic platform to review ongoing operations across the various theatres, assess mission effectiveness, examine emerging security challenges and identify measures to further enhance the operational capabilities of the Nigerian Air Force.
During the engagement, the Air Component Commanders briefed the CAS on activities within their respective theatres, highlighting operational achievements, ongoing efforts and areas requiring further attention.
Air Marshal Aneke commended the commanders and their personnel for their dedication, professionalism and sacrifices in safeguarding the nation, urging them to sustain the momentum while sharpening their operational focus.
The CAS stressed the importance of maintaining high professional standards and adopting a proactive and predictive operational posture anchored on sound intelligence, effective coordination and continuous assessment of the evolving security environment.
He further assured Nigerians that the Nigerian Air Force remains resolute in fulfilling its constitutional responsibility to protect the nation, working in synergy with the sister Services and other security agencies to confront emerging threats and create a safer environment for citizens.
The engagement underscores the CAS’s commitment to strengthening operational coordination, enhancing intelligence-driven decision-making and ensuring that the NAF remains focused, vigilant and responsive in the defence of Nigeria and its people.
