NACC Bayelsa Visits AIG Zone 16, Reaffirms Support for Police Leadership

The National Association of Catholic Corps Members (NACC), Bayelsa State Chapter, has paid a courtesy visit to the Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG), Zone 16 Headquarters, Yenagoa, reaffirming its support for the Zone’s leadership and commitment to effective policing.

The visit, held at the AIG’s office in Yenagoa, provided an opportunity for both parties to strengthen collaboration in promoting peace, security and community engagement.

According to a statement issued by the Zonal Police Public Relations Officer, SP Gunn Ewhoborwo Emonena, the AIG expressed appreciation to the association for the visit and commended its role in promoting discipline, integrity and moral values among members of the National Youth Service Corps.

The AIG reassured residents across Zone 16 of the Command’s unwavering commitment to protecting lives and property, stressing that the Police would continue to strengthen security measures, improve intelligence gathering and deepen collaboration with communities and other stakeholders to combat crime and maintain law and order.

He also charged police officers under the Zone to remain professional, dedicated and respectful in the discharge of their constitutional duties while upholding the core values of the Nigeria Police Force.

Speaking on behalf of the association, the leader of the delegation, Eze Kingsley Chidera, thanked the AIG for the warm reception and pledged the continued support and prayers of the National Association of Catholic Corps Members for the success of his leadership and the safety of officers serving under Zone 16.

The visit concluded with special prayers, the presentation of a commemorative gift to the AIG, and a group photograph to mark the occasion.
