The unveiling marks another milestone in the Nigeria Police Force’s drive to strengthen preventive policing through sustained public engagement, awareness campaigns and strategic collaboration with stakeholders aimed at tackling crime at its roots.

The publication highlights POCACOV’s wide-ranging interventions in combating cultism, drug abuse, cybercrime, bullying and other social vices through advocacy, public enlightenment and community-based initiatives.

It also documents the campaign’s efforts in promoting positive youth engagement, fostering strategic partnerships and encouraging active community participation in crime prevention across the country.

Speaking during the unveiling, the Inspector-General of Police reaffirmed the Force’s commitment to leveraging preventive policing as a critical strategy for enhancing public safety and national security. He noted that addressing the underlying causes of crime through education, advocacy and community involvement remains essential to building safer and more resilient communities.

The POCACOV Digest Magazine is expected to serve as a valuable reference for stakeholders, policymakers, educational institutions and members of the public by documenting the campaign’s successes, best practices and ongoing initiatives aimed at reducing criminality and promoting responsible citizenship.

The unveiling of the publication further underscores the Nigeria Police Force’s resolve to institutionalise preventive policing through sustained public enlightenment, innovative programmes and multi-sectoral collaboration, while reinforcing its commitment to creating a safer and more secure society for all Nigerians.
