The newly appointed Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO) of the Nigeria Police Force, CSP Anietie Okokon Edem Iniedu, has pledged to strengthen transparency, accountability, and public engagement as he officially assumes office.

In his maiden statement as the spokesperson of the Nigeria Police Force, CSP Iniedu reaffirmed the Force’s commitment to promoting responsive and citizen-centred policing aimed at building public trust and enhancing security across the country.

He emphasized that tackling crime and impunity requires collective action, calling on Nigerians to actively support law enforcement efforts in creating safer communities.

“The Nigeria Police Force is committed to a new era of responsive, transparent, and citizen-centred policing. Crime and impunity remain our common enemy, and their defeat requires the active partnership of every Nigerian,” he stated.

The new Police spokesperson extended an open invitation to members of the public, media organisations, civil society groups, and other stakeholders to engage constructively with the Force, stressing that collaboration remains essential to effective policing and public safety.

CSP Iniedu also expressed appreciation for the goodwill messages and support he has received since his appointment, assuring Nigerians of his commitment to professionalism, accountability, and effective communication.

“I am grateful for the goodwill messages received and look forward to a productive tenure built on accountability and results,” he said.

His appointment is expected to bring renewed focus to strategic communication, stakeholder engagement, and public relations within the Nigeria Police Force as it continues efforts to strengthen public confidence and improve national security.
