The Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, has reaffirmed the Nigerian Armed Forces' commitment to the welfare and post-service success of military personnel as graduates of Course 1/2026 of the Nigerian Armed Forces Resettlement Centre completed their resettlement training programme.
Represented by the Air Officer Commanding Logistics Command, Air Vice Marshal Abubakar Suleh, the CAS spoke at the graduation ceremony held on June 11, 2026, at NAFRC in Oshodi, Lagos.
The ceremony highlighted the Armed Forces of Nigeria's sustained efforts to prepare retiring and discharging personnel for life after military service through vocational, entrepreneurial and management training programmes designed to foster self-reliance and economic productivity.
Air Marshal Aneke noted that the resettlement programme remains a critical component of personnel welfare, providing service members with practical skills and knowledge needed to transition successfully into civilian life and contribute meaningfully to national development.
He commended the Commandant of NAFRC, Air Vice Marshal Nnaemeka Ilo, and the centre's staff for their dedication to empowering military personnel with relevant skills and opportunities for sustainable livelihoods after retirement.
The CAS further encouraged the graduating participants to leverage the training acquired at the centre to pursue productive ventures, create employment opportunities and remain worthy ambassadors of the Armed Forces in their communities.
The graduation of Course 1/2026 reflects the Armed Forces' broader commitment to enhancing the welfare, dignity and long-term well-being of personnel beyond active service.
