The Federal Commissioner representing Lagos State, Hon. AbdulWasiu Kayode Bawa-Allah, has monitored the ongoing Nigerian Army recruitment exercise in the state to ensure the process remains fair, transparent, and in line with the Federal Character Principle.
During the monitoring exercise, Hon. Bawa-Allah observed various stages of the screening process and interacted with officials overseeing the recruitment to ascertain compliance with established guidelines.
He emphasized the importance of conducting a credible and merit-based recruitment exercise that guarantees equal opportunities for all eligible applicants, while ensuring adherence to the constitutional provisions of the Federal Character Principle.
The Federal Commissioner commended the recruitment officials for maintaining order and professionalism and urged prospective candidates to conduct themselves responsibly throughout the exercise.
The monitoring forms part of the statutory oversight responsibilities of the Federal Character Commission to ensure equitable representation and fairness in federal recruitment processes across the country.
