Delta Police Raid Drug Hideout, Arrest Three Women in Warri, Recover Canadian Loud and Codeine

The Delta State Police Command has raided a suspected drug hideout in Warri and arrested three female suspects over alleged involvement in illicit drug trafficking and substance abuse.

According to a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, operatives of the Area Command, Effurun, carried out the operation on May 7, 2026, following credible intelligence on suspected drug peddling activities within Ogbomoro and Ugolo communities in the Warri metropolis.

The operation, conducted at about 9:20 p.m., led to the arrest of a suspected drug baron identified as Favor Isaac, 25, alongside two other female suspects, Favour Felix, 24, and Samson Precious, 19.

Police said a search warrant executed at the suspects’ hideout along River Road in Ogbomoro community led to the recovery of 21 bottles of CSC Codeine, two canisters of Nitrous Oxide, popularly known as “laughing gas,” and two packs of suspected psychoactive chewing gum branded as “Highness Gum.”

Operatives also recovered 640 grams of substances suspected to be Canadian Loud concealed in bags and containers at the location.

Preliminary investigation, according to the police, revealed that one Rukewe Tega Isaac, who is currently on the run, is believed to be the major supplier linked to the drug network. The Command said efforts are ongoing to arrest the fleeing suspect and dismantle the syndicate.

The Commissioner of Police in Delta State, CP Yemi Oyeniyi, reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to sustained operations against drug trafficking and related crimes across the state.

He noted that the abuse and circulation of illicit drugs remain major contributors to violent crimes and social vices among youths, urging residents to continue supporting the police with credible and timely information.
