Security forces under Operation HADIN KAI have arrested a 15-year-old suspected terrorist in Ngamdu, Borno State, in connection with recent attacks in the area.
The suspect, identified as Tijjani, was apprehended on Sunday, April 12, 2026, during ongoing military operations targeting insurgent networks in the North East.
According to preliminary findings, the teenager confessed to participating in coordinated attacks on Benisheik and Ngamdu last Thursday. He disclosed that he and other fighters operated from Jilli, a known terrorist enclave, from where they launched the હુમલા and later returned.
Tijjani further revealed that he was sent from Jilli on Saturday with the sum of ₦850,000 to procure logistics for the group in Ngamdu before his arrest by troops. He added that he left behind several other fighters at the enclave, though he could not confirm their current status.
Military authorities say the arrest is part of intensified operations aimed at dismantling terrorist logistics networks and preventing further attacks across the region. They noted that information obtained from the suspect is aiding ongoing intelligence and clearance operations in the area.
The Armed Forces reiterated their commitment to sustaining pressure on terrorist elements while urging residents to continue providing credible information to support security efforts
