The Air Component of Operation Hadin Kai has eliminated several terrorists following a precision air interdiction mission targeting a known enclave at Yuwe in the Sambisa Forest area.
Military sources disclosed that the operation was carried out on April 19 at about 5:45 p.m. by the Phantom Formation in collaboration with the Grey Raptor platform, in support of ongoing battlefield air interdiction efforts.
According to the sources, the mission was launched based on credible intelligence, supported by confirmatory Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR), which revealed the presence of active terrorist elements and fortified structures, including suspected bunkers within the area.
On arrival at the target location, air crew identified and engaged designated positions with precision-guided munitions, resulting in the destruction of multiple logistics facilities, shelters, and operational hideouts.
Several terrorists were reportedly neutralised during the strike, dealing a significant blow to their operational capabilities within the Sambisa axis.
The operation forms part of sustained joint air and ground offensives aimed at degrading terrorist capabilities, disrupting supply chains, and restricting their freedom of movement across the theatre.
Military authorities reaffirmed that ongoing coordinated operations will continue to exert pressure on terrorist elements, with the objective of restoring stability in affected areas.
They further assured that intelligence-driven air strikes, in collaboration with ground forces, will persist until all remaining terrorist enclaves and networks are dismantled.
