The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has ordered a comprehensive security deployment across all approved centres for the 2026 Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Computer-Based Test (CBT).

Commissioner of Police, CP Ahmed Mohammed Sanusi, directed the mobilization of personnel, operational assets, and intelligence resources to ensure a safe and orderly examination process throughout the territory.

According to a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, the move aligns with the directive of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, and is aimed at providing a secure and conducive environment for candidates, examination officials, and other stakeholders.

The statement noted that all deployed officers have been instructed to maintain professionalism, remain courteous but firm in carrying out their duties, and take decisive action against examination malpractice, disorderly conduct, and any security threats.

It added that operatives would collaborate closely with other security agencies to secure examination centres, surrounding areas, and key access routes.

CP Sanusi also called on candidates, parents, and the general public to cooperate with security personnel and strictly adhere to examination guidelines to ensure a smooth and hitch-free exercise.

The Command reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding lives and property, urging residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities through its emergency lines.
