The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, has held high-level strategic meetings with the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke, as part of ongoing efforts to reinforce inter-agency collaboration in addressing Nigeria’s security challenges.

The engagements, held in Abuja, focused on strengthening operational synergy between the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) and the Armed Forces of Nigeria, with particular emphasis on intelligence sharing, coordinated responses, and enhanced joint operational strategies.

During the meetings, IGP Disu underscored the importance of sustained collaboration among security agencies, noting that a unified and well-coordinated approach remains essential to effectively confronting evolving threats across the country.

He stressed that deeper cooperation between the police and the military would not only improve operational efficiency but also bolster efforts to protect lives and property, maintain public safety, and promote national stability.

The meetings form part of broader efforts by the police leadership to strengthen institutional partnerships and ensure a more integrated national security architecture capable of responding decisively to emerging and existing threats.

The high-level engagements also reflect the commitment of the nation’s security leadership to fostering closer coordination among agencies in pursuit of a safer and more secure Nigeria.
