The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Olatunji Rilwan Disu, has paid a courtesy visit to the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Olufemi Oluyede, and other Service Chiefs as part of ongoing strategic engagements aimed at deepening coordination within Nigeria’s security architecture.

The high-level meetings centred on strengthening inter-agency collaboration, improving intelligence sharing, and reinforcing joint operational frameworks to tackle prevailing security challenges across the country.

During the engagements, IGP Disu underscored the importance of sustained synergy between the Nigeria Police Force and the Armed Forces of Nigeria, stressing that closer cooperation remains critical to maintaining internal security, protecting lives and property, and ensuring national stability.

He noted that the evolving nature of security threats requires a unified and coordinated response among all security agencies, adding that effective collaboration would enhance operational efficiency and national resilience.

The visits form part of broader efforts by the police leadership to consolidate partnerships with key stakeholders and strengthen collective responses to insecurity nationwide.
