The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, has decorated Jimoh Moshood Olorundare following his elevation to the rank of Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG).
The decoration ceremony took place at the Force Headquarters, Abuja, where senior police officers and other dignitaries witnessed the formal conferment of the new rank on the officer.
During the event, IGP Disu congratulated AIG Jimoh Moshood on what he described as a well-deserved promotion, noting that the elevation was a recognition of his dedication, professionalism and years of meritorious service in the Nigeria Police Force.
The police chief urged the newly promoted officer to bring his wealth of experience and professionalism to bear in the discharge of his new responsibilities.
According to the IGP, the promotion comes with greater expectations, particularly in advancing the operational effectiveness, discipline and service delivery of the Force.
The ceremony formed part of ongoing efforts by the Nigeria Police Force leadership to recognise excellence, reward commitment and strengthen institutional capacity through merit-based advancement.
AIG Moshood is expected to assume higher strategic responsibilities in line with his new rank as the Force continues its drive for improved policing and enhanced national security.
