Missing and Found Child: Police Seek Public Help to Reunite Boy With Family

The FCT Police Command has appealed to members of the public to assist with information that could help reunite a missing male child with his family.

In a press statement, the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, disclosed that the child—estimated to be between 10 and 11 years old—was found roaming around the Works and Housing Estate in the Gwarimpa area of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

According to the statement, a good Samaritan rescued the child and brought him to the Gwarimpa Police Divisional Headquarters on Thursday, 26 December 2025, at about 4:00 p.m., after repeated efforts to locate his parents or relatives proved unsuccessful.

The child was reportedly dressed in a white shirt and carton-coloured trousers at the time he was found. Police authorities noted that the boy appears unable to speak or provide any information about his identity or family background.

The FCT Police Command has therefore called on well-meaning members of the public who may recognize the child or have useful information regarding his family to contact the nearest police station. Members of the public can also reach the police through the following numbers: 08180382808 or the Police Public Relations Officer on 07038979348.

The Command assured that all information provided will be treated with utmost confidentiality as efforts continue to reunite the child with his family.
