.... Campaign Against Killing of Security Personnel Holds at Merit House, Abuja

The National Chairman, Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), Alhaji Mogaji Ibraheem Olaniyan, has reaffirmed the committee’s unwavering commitment to the safety, dignity, and welfare of security personnel across the nation.

Olaniyan said this in Abuja when stakeholders from across the country on Friday converged at Merit House, Maitama, Abuja, for the Campaign Against the Killing of Our Security Personnel, a nationwide advocacy initiative aimed at ending violence against Nigeria’s security operatives and promoting their welfare.

Leading the delegation to the event, the PCRC National Chairman stressed that safeguarding security operatives is a collective responsibility, calling for stronger cooperation among citizens, communities, and law enforcement agencies to promote mutual trust, enhance security, and protect those who dedicate their lives to national service.

The timely campaign, organized by the Societal Concerns Organization, brought together civil society groups, community leaders, and security stakeholders to collectively condemn attacks on security personnel and to reaffirm national support for those who risk their lives to protect the country.

He reaffirmed the committee’s unwavering commitment to the safety, dignity, and welfare of security personnel across the nation. He emphasized that protecting security operatives is a shared responsibility that requires cooperation between citizens, communities, and law enforcement agencies.

Participants at the event stressed the urgent need for sustained public sensitization, community engagement, and stronger collaboration to curb violence against security forces and strengthen national security.

The campaign concluded with a united call for collective action, captured in a resounding message echoed by all present: “Protect those who protect us.”
