The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has successfully carried out a precision Air Interdiction (AI) operation against terrorist logistics in the Southern Tumbuns of Borno State, destroying vehicles and neutralising terrorist elements.
The operation, conducted on 14 December 2025 at Dabar Masara, targeted a known terrorist location identified as an active logistics hub. According to the Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, the strike followed credible intelligence indicating the presence of a terrorist workshop and sustained movement of armed elements in the area.
Air Commodore Ejodame explained that the Air Component of Joint Task Force Operation HADIN KAI deployed an integrated force package that combined intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) missions with coordinated strike operations. Prior ISR activities had revealed repeated terrorist movements and a significant number of vehicles concealed under vegetation, confirming the site’s use for terrorist logistics.
Further surveillance on the day of the operation validated the earlier intelligence, with terrorists observed manoeuvring around the concealed vehicles. After positive identification and in strict compliance with the Rules of Engagement, NAF aircraft engaged the targets.
Post-operation Battle Damage Assessment confirmed the destruction of the identified vehicles and the neutralisation of terrorist elements at the location.
The Nigerian Air Force said the successful mission underscores its commitment to intelligence-driven and precise air operations in support of national efforts to degrade terrorist networks and enhance security across affected regions.
