The Nigeria Police Academy (POLAC), Wudil, Kano State, has marked a historic milestone with the successful conduct of the Combined and Pioneer Convocation Ceremony for cadets of the 1st to 7th Regular Courses.

The landmark event celebrated years of rigorous academic pursuit and professional training, producing a new set of graduates equipped to serve as future leaders of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF).

It is the first time in the Academy’s history that seven consecutive regular courses will be graduating together since the institution attained degree-awarding status.

Dignitaries, senior government officials, members of the Police High Command, and families of the graduating cadets graced the ceremony, which highlighted the Academy’s expanding role in strengthening professional policing standards and boosting manpower development within the Force.

The Commandant of the Academy applauded the resilience, discipline, and commitment displayed by the cadets throughout their years of training. He noted that the graduates are now fully prepared to contribute to national security, uphold democratic values, and demonstrate leadership in various spheres of policing.

The Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, in his remarks, congratulated the cadets and reaffirmed the NPF’s commitment to developing a world-class police institution capable of producing officers with the intellectual capacity and operational competence required for modern policing.

The ceremony featured award presentations, commissioning rites, and recognition of outstanding cadets who distinguished themselves academically and in character.

With this convocation, the Nigeria Police Academy continues to position itself as a premier institution for nurturing disciplined, dynamic, and service-driven police officers for the nation.
