The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has assured the people of Kebbi State of the Nigeria Police Force’s unwavering commitment to ending the recent wave of criminal attacks in the state.
The Police Chief gave the assurance today, 25 November 2025, during a visit to the Executive Governor of Kebbi State, following the unfortunate kidnapping incident of 17 November 2025 in Maga, Kebbi State.
Speaking during the visit, the IGP strongly condemned the attack and expressed solidarity with the government and people of the state. “We stand with you. We are going to fight this evil till peace is restored,” he declared, emphasizing that the Force had already intensified operations to track down the perpetrators.
He noted that specialized tactical units, intelligence teams, and additional personnel had been deployed to support the ongoing rescue efforts and strengthen security across vulnerable communities.
Governor of Kebbi State, Nasir Idris. Mohammed Nasir Idris appreciated the Inspector-General for the swift response, describing the visit as a morale booster for the affected communities and a reassurance of the Federal Government’s commitment to the safety of citizens.
The Nigeria Police Force reaffirmed that it will continue to work closely with local authorities, community leaders, and security partners to ensure the safe return of all abducted victims and prevent future occurrences.
