The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has approved the posting of Mohammed Adamu Dankwara as the new Deputy Inspector-General of Police (DIG) in charge of the Department of Finance and Administration.
The announcement was made in a statement issued by the Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, from the Force Headquarters, Abuja.
According to the statement, DIG Dankwara takes over from DIG Sahabo Abubakar Yahaya, who recently retired after more than 30 years of distinguished and meritorious service to the Nigeria Police Force. Before his elevation, Dankwara served as the Assistant Inspector-General of Police overseeing the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID), Abuja, where he was noted for his professionalism, exceptional leadership, and unwavering commitment to duty.
IGP Egbetokun congratulated the newly appointed DIG and expressed confidence in his ability to strengthen the administrative architecture of the Force. He noted that the appointment aligns with ongoing efforts to reposition the Nigeria Police Force for enhanced efficiency and improved service delivery.
The IGP reaffirmed the Force’s dedication to ensuring the safety and security of all citizens through strategic leadership placements and the promotion of performance excellence.
