The General Officer Commanding (GOC) 82 Division of the Nigerian Army and Commander Joint Task Force (JTF) South East, Operation UDO KA, Major General Oluremi A. Fadairo, has paid a familiarization visit to the Air Officer Commanding (AOC), Ground Training Command (GTC) of the Nigerian Air Force in Enugu.
The visit, which took place on Tuesday, 17 November 2025, was part of his ongoing engagements with sister security agencies within the Division’s Area of Operations.
According to a statement by Lieutenant Colonel Olabisi Olalekan Ayeni, Acting Deputy Director Army Public Relations, the visit marked Major General Fadairo’s first official courtesy call since assuming office as the 40th GOC of 82 Division and Commander JTF South East on 5 November 2025.
He noted that the visit aligns with the GOC’s leadership focus on strengthening inter-agency cooperation as a core strategy for improving security outcomes in the South-East.
The AOC Ground Training Command warmly received the GOC and his entourage, expressing gratitude for choosing the Command as his first stop. He highlighted the longstanding operational and personal ties between the Nigerian Army and the Nigerian Air Force in the region.
The AOC also commended the Division’s professionalism, resilience, and commitment in tackling security challenges, noting that such synergy has significantly enhanced the success of ongoing operations aimed at curbing criminal activities across the South-East.
In his remarks, Major General Fadairo appreciated the relentless support provided by the NAF to 82 Division and Operation UDO KA. He emphasized the importance of improved collaboration, intelligence sharing, and joint planning among security agencies to sustain and build upon recent gains.
He assured that his leadership would continue to prioritize partnership-driven strategies to enhance peace, stability, and operational efficiency in the region.
The visit also featured an interactive session, exchange of souvenirs, inspection of key operational facilities, and a group photograph, symbolizing renewed dedication to fostering stronger cooperation between the Nigerian Army and the Nigerian Air Force.
