The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has recorded another decisive success in the nation’s counterterrorism campaign with a devastating precision strike on a major terrorist hideout in the Sambisa general area.
The operation, conducted on 19 November 2025 at ARRA, was carried out under the directive of the Chief of the Air Staff and executed by the Air Component of Operation Hadin Kai.
According to a statement by Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, Director of Public Relations and Information, the strike followed days of intensive intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) missions.
These surveillance efforts tracked terrorist movements linked to the 17 October ambush on ground troops at Kashomri. Persistent ISR coverage revealed suspicious activity and active terrorist structures at the ARRA location, prompting a deliberate and intelligence-led interdiction mission.
NAF air assets engaged the target through coordinated, successive attack passes, acquiring and neutralizing all identified objectives with precision. The operation resulted in the complete destruction of terrorist facilities, significantly degrading their operational capabilities and dismantling key command and logistics structures within the enclave.
The successful strike marks a major setback for the terrorist network operating within Sambisa Forest and highlights the renewed momentum of joint counterinsurgency efforts. It also reinforces the Air Force’s commitment to supporting ground forces and maintaining constant pressure on terror elements across all operational theatres.
