APPLY: Nigerian Air Force Opens Recruitment Portal for Airmen and Airwomen – BMTC 46/2025

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has officially announced the commencement of its online application process for the Basic Military Training Course (BMTC) 46/2025, inviting qualified Nigerians to apply for enlistment as Airmen and Airwomen.

According to a statement signed by Air Vice Marshal A.H. Bakari on behalf of the Chief of the Air Staff, the recruitment exercise is free of charge and will run from October 14 to November 25, 2025, through the official portal: www.nafrecruitment.airforce.mil.ng.

The Force encouraged interested applicants to seize the opportunity to serve their nation with pride, discipline, and professionalism. It added that the exercise offers a pathway for Nigerian youths to build rewarding military careers while contributing to national defence and security.

However, the NAF cautioned prospective applicants against falling victim to fraudsters, reiterating that the recruitment process is completely free and that no payment is required at any stage.

Application Guidelines

Applicants are required to apply online and print the following documents after submission:

  • Acknowledgment Form
  • Parent/Guardian Consent Form
  • Local Government Area Attestation Form (to be signed by a qualified officer or authority such as a senior military or police officer, local government chairman, or magistrate).

Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicants must be Nigerian citizens.
  • Male applicants must be at least 1.66m tall, and female applicants 1.63m tall.
  • All applicants must be medically, physically, and psychologically fit, meeting NAF’s medical and employment standards.

For Non-Tradesmen/Women:

  • Must be between 18 and 22 years old.
  • Must possess a minimum of five (5) credits, including Mathematics and English, in not more than two sittings in WAEC, NECO, GCE, NABTEB, or NBAIS.
  • Secondary school testimonial is also required.

For Tradesmen/Women:

  • Must be between 18 and 27 years old.
  • ND/NCE holders must have at least a Lower Credit from an accredited institution.
  • Those applying as drivers or other skilled trades must have the required trade test certificate and a valid driver’s licence (for drivers).
  • Sports applicants must present proof of professional experience such as certificates or medals.

Applicants must be free from any criminal convictions, and only successful candidates will be invited for the Zonal Aptitude Test and Selection Interview.
