Troops of Operation FANSAN YAMMAN (OPFY) on Friday came to the aid of a lone driver who miraculously survived a ghastly motor accident along the Bwari–Jere Road, about 20 kilometres from Jere, in the Federal Capital Territory.

Eyewitnesses said the accident involved a black Toyota car that somersaulted several times before landing upside down in a ditch, leaving the driver badly injured but alive. A good Samaritan quickly pulled the victim out of the wreckage and raised an alarm to security operatives in the area.

Responding to the distress call, the Commander of Sub-Sector 4, OPFY, immediately dispatched troops to the scene. The soldiers arrived in record time, stabilised the victim for medical attention, and recovered the overturned vehicle. They also deployed a towing truck to clear the wreckage, ensuring free movement for other motorists.

Residents in the area hailed the swift intervention of the troops, describing it as a demonstration of the military’s commitment to safeguarding lives beyond the battlefield. They noted that such humanitarian support underscored a people-focused approach to security operations, where the safety and well-being of citizens remain paramount.
