Nigerian Army Urges Cross River Youths to Join 90th Regular Recruitment Intake

The Nigerian Army has called on youths in Cross River State to seize the opportunity of its forthcoming 90th Regular Recruitment Intake to build rewarding careers while contributing to the peace and security of the country.

Speaking in Calabar on Monday, Acting Assistant Director, Army Public Relations, 13 Brigade, Captain Yemi Sokoya, described the exercise as a “golden opportunity” for patriotic young men and women to serve their fatherland.

According to Sokoya, the online registration portal for the recruitment exercise will open on September 29, 2025, urging interested applicants to visit the official Nigerian Army recruitment portal and follow the outlined guidelines. He stressed that the process is free of charge and warned prospective applicants against falling victim to fraudsters or middlemen posing as agents of the Army.

“The Nigerian Army remains committed to recruiting vibrant and disciplined youths who are ready to uphold the values of loyalty, integrity, courage, and selfless service,” Sokoya stated.

He added that enlistment into the Army provides access to professional training, career advancement, and diverse opportunities in areas such as engineering, medicine, ICT, logistics, and administration, while granting the honour of serving the nation.

The Nigerian Army also appealed to traditional rulers, community leaders, parents, and guardians to mobilize and sensitize young people in their communities to take advantage of the recruitment drive.

“Together, we can empower our youths, strengthen national security, and build a more peaceful and united Nigeria,” the statement added.
