Troops of Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), in collaboration with the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), have recovered three AK-47 rifles and five magazines during an intelligence-led follow-up operation along the Mafa border corridor in Borno State.
The breakthrough followed an earlier encounter on 7 August 2025, in which one terrorist was neutralized. Acting on intelligence, the troops launched a subsequent operation that led to the discovery of the arms cache, believed to belong to fleeing terrorists.
Military authorities have commended the troops for their swift action and urged them to sustain such intelligence-driven operations to further weaken terrorist networks across the theatre of operations.
