To foster stronger collaboration between the Infantry Corps and the Armed Forces Command and Staff College (AFCSC), particularly in the areas of joint trainings and exercises, the Commander Infantry Corps (CIC), Major General AK Ibrahim, alongside the Coordinator, Nigerian Army Officers’ Wives Association (NAOWA) Jaji Chapter, Mrs Halima Ibrahim, on Tuesday 15 April 2025 jointly visited the Commandant of the Armed Forces Command and Staff College (AFCSC), Air Vice Marshal HI Alhaji, at the College Headquarter.
During the visit, Major General Ibrahim stated that the purpose was to foster stronger collaboration between the Infantry Corps and AFCSC, particularly in the areas of joint trainings and exercises.
He emphasized the importance of synergy in achieving operational effectiveness across the Armed Forces of Nigeria.
In a similar vein, the Coordinator NAOWA Jaji Chapter, Mrs Halimatu brahim expressed appreciation for the warm reception. She then seized the opportunity to appeal for support in executing developmental projects within the Jaji Military Cantonment.
She highlighted NAOWA’s ongoing commitment to providing modern infrastructure and amenities, especially for women and children, noting that the association remains steadfast in its humanitarian efforts.
In his response, the Commandant AFCSC, Air Vice Marshal Hassan Idris Alhaji, thanked the CIC, Coordinator NAOWA, and their respective delegations for the visit.
He affirmed the College’s readiness to continue partnering with the Infantry Corps and NAOWA in initiatives that enhance military welfare and capacity development. Highlights of the visit included exchange of souvenirs, signing of visitors book and group photograph.
