The Commandant Naval War College Nigeria (NWCN), Rear Admiral A Ahmed has on Friday 24 January 2025, inaugurated participants of Naval Warfare Course 9.
The inaugural lecture titled “Operational Level Leadership: A Requirement For National Security In Nigeria delivered by the Guest Speaker, Rear Admiral SU Umosen (rtd) highlighted the importance of Operational Level Leadership in the Nigeria’s quest to defeat insurgency and other security challenges.
In his remarks the Special Guest of Honour at the Inauguration, Flag Officer Commanding Eastern Naval Command, Rear Admiral SA Akinwande urged the participants to understand the complexity of our environmental security situation and then know how best to function with such challenges.
In another development, after the inaugural lecture, the Commandant NWCN also stressed the need for senior Officers to stay focused in a statement he made during the send off ceremony in honour of the
Deputy Commandant NWCN, Rear Admiral M Ide and three other Members of Faculty who were recently posted out of the college.
