The Chief Military Public Information Officer of the HQ MNJTF, Ndjamena-Chad, Lt Col Abubakar Abdullahi has reaffirmed that for accuracy, it is essential to note that the killings of 70 Boko Haram Terorists and displacement of 5 of emclaves were solely conducted by the Chadian Armed Forces within their territory in the Lake Chad Basin Area and not MNJTF Troops.
Lt Col Abubakar Abdullahi who apologised for any confusion caused by the previous press release, which may have been misinterpreted noted that The Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) was inaccurately credited with the elimination of 70 Boko Haram terrorists and destruction of 5 Camps in the Lake Chad Basin by section of the media.
He noted that the Chadian military officially announced this achievement during a press conference on 30 June 2024.
"Moving forward, we are committed to providing clear and precise information to ensure proper attribution of military operations and their outcomes." he added
