A team of operatives of the Joint Taskforce (JTF) of both Police Mobile Force personnel and Soldiers ran into an ambush by the Bandits between Danjigba and Kunci Kargo locations of Sector 7 of Operation Hadarin Daji, in Zamfara State.
The attack took place on Saturday, 6th January 2023 at about 4 pm after the bandits who lay in waiting sprang a surprising attack on the operatives, killing all operatives inside the gun truck, and went away with their rifles and the AA Rifles respectively.
A competent source close to the security forces told SpyeTV News that the corpses of stained security operatives were burnt in the gun truck by the bandits. One inspector Wilson Paul Mine is also a victim of the attack where he lost his life, his life jacket and his rifle to the bandits
A PMF personnel attached to PMF 42 also lost his life and rifle to the bandits as well and four soldiers respectively lost their lives. Inspector Ewa Onono who was in the backup vehicle fell off a tumbled vehicle and fractured his leg and arm.
Our source says that his rifle is safe, and the wounded victims were rushed to the Teaching Hospital, Gusau for treatment.
The position of the corpses is yet to know as of the time of filing this report.
