The Bauchi State Police Command have killed 10 bandits in Yankari forest and rescued 39 victims from kidnappers following a successful joint security operation.
The police public relations officer Bauchi State command, Ahmed Wakili made this known today, saying the operation was carried out by team of operation Saran Daji.
He explained that preliminary investigation reveals that the kidnappers about 24 invaded Gaji community targeting some businessmen who were returning from the Lima Kantangun market and took them to a place known as the Red Mountain in Yankari forest, demanded 50 million Naira each as ransom before the rescue operation.
