Austrian Ambassador to Nigeria Visits Air Chief to Strengthen Partnership on Training, Maintenance

Earlier today, 26 Jul 23, the Chief of Air Staff, Air Vice Marshal Hasan Abubakar received Austrian Ambassador to Nigeria, HE Thomas Schlesinger and delegation from Diamond Aircraft on his office at the Headquarters Nigerian Air Force in Abuja.

HE Thomas Schlesinger in his brief remarks said, he and his team were in NAF headquarter, to strengthening partnership on maintenance, training and other mutually beneficial subjects.

Both also emphasised the need for Nigeria and Austria to share their experiences on the use of unmanned aircraft systems in counterterrorism operations. This, according to them would enable strategic synergy and enhance proficiency with renewed commitment to wipe out terrorism.

The Chief of Air Staff, Air Vice Marshal Hasan Abubakar lauded the long-standing partnership between both countries and pledged that the Nigerian Air force will continue to support in any area that could ultimately strengthen its operational capabilities.
