In accordance with ongoing efforts to actualize Nigerian Navy’s welfare objectives in support of operations efficiency, the Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Awwal Zubairu Gambo has commissioned Naval Officers’ Wives Association Shopping Complex, in Kuje.
In his remarks the Naval Chief noted that undoubtedly these commendable interventions to enhance comfort and support economic activities of Service personnel and civilians in Kuje as well as adjacent communities.
While felicitating with the association, Naval Chief also congratulated the beneficiaries of this edifice. He urged the NOWA to take absolute ownership the structure as well as inculcate deliberate positive maintenance culture so that the legacy project will serve future generations.
Vice Admiral Gambo appreciated NOWA’s laudable activities and programmes aimed at providing quality education and empowerment training as well as embarking on charitable activities, towards uplifting the life of women, orphans and children.
"I am optimistic that these achievements will surely engendered positive influence on family love and cohesion, thereby boosting morale of our fighting troops, towards enhancing national security" he added.
