Democracy Day 2023: Armed Forces of Nigeria Marks Event With President Tinubu

As part of activities commemorating Nigeria's democracy day, known as June 12, members of the Nigerian Armed Forces, Police and other eminent citizens today 12 June 2023 converged at the fourecourt of the Presidential Villa Abuja Nigeria to celebrate the special event.

Capt Godfrey Anebi Abakpa, Assistant Director Army Public Relations Guards Brigade in a press statement on Monday said during the event, the President and Commander -in Chief of the Armed Forces, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on arrival was received by the Commander Guards Brigade Brig Gen Aminu Umar and he immediately proceeded to inspect the Special Guard mounted in his honour. 

Captain Abakpa noted that the event also featured special performances by the mass band, silent drill platoon and Cultural display by Guards Brigade Cultural troupe.

The event was attended by key Government Officials, Service Chiefs, the Inspector General of Police as well as other eminent Nigerians.
