16th Promotion of Active Officers Students
There are a total of 220 Active Officers students including 14 nationals from friendly countries which are Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Guinea, Mali, Senegal, Chad and Togo presented with the national flag.
This ceremony comes after 5 months of the fighter's initial training and constitutes a military tradition that marks the commitment to the nation and the Army.
This flag presentation ceremony was coupled at the end of military training constituting the first phase of the training for the promotion of the Air Force Active Officer students. This rear is composed of 200 SCO students including 6 women.
For eleven months, these airmen resolutely and rigorous physical, moral and military training that enabled them to acquire the skills of the non-officer to always serve with honor and loyalty alongside their brothers in arms. They will start the second phase of their training to know the technical training.
As a reminder, these 200 active-duty Air Force students join the 124 others who completed their military training last February at EFOFAN. Figures that perfectly illustrate, the rise in power of the Nigerian Army and especially the Air Force which plays a significant role in the fight against terrorism in Niger.

On the occasion of this ceremony, Minister of National Defense, Alkassoum INDATTOU paid a vibrant tribute to all fallen servicemen in the field of honour in the course of their noble mission.
Addressing the active officers of the 16th Division, the Minister of National Defense recalled their essential role in the functioning of the military institution.
As for the 200 students under Active Officers of the Air Force, the Minister reiterated all his confidence to succeed all the steps with brio. Indeed, their skills will be required to meet the contemporary challenges facing Niger, he added.
The 16th Promotion of Active Officers Students will be named after Chief Deputy Soumaila NOMA and retired captain Anicet SIDDI will be the sponsor.
