The military troops of Operation Hadarin Daji in North West in a joint military operations with security operatives from sister security agencies have foiled a terror attack on Gusau Capital, the Zamfara State capital.

Accordingly, troops promptly responded to a distress call at Damba area within Gusau LGA in the wee hours of 29 April 2023 and aggressively engaged the terrorists in a fierce firefight which lasted well over an hour, forcing them to abandon their mission.
On exploitation along the terrorists' withdrawal routes, heavy blood trails were observed, indicating the many of the attackers are bearing fatal bullet wounds. Troops are however on their trails, with a clear mandate to neutralize the fleeing criminals.
Damba area in Gusau the Zamfara state capital has been facing series of terrorists attacks in recent times. Presently, many residents of the area are unable to attend the subh (morning) prayer due to fear as they now remain indoors.
