18 Boko Haram Terrorists Killed By Troops of Sector 1 Operation Hadin Kai in Borno

In another well coordinated offensive raid at one of the major terrorists camps within the Sambisa Forest area in Borno State, the Troops of Sector 1 Operation Hadin Kai have killed no fewer than 18 Boko Haram Terrorists.

The YATAB Network gathered that the terrorists were eliminated following a massive joint operation by troops of 73 Battalion from 7 Division Garrison and 222 Battalion from the 21 Special Armoured Brigade, Bama, both under the auspices of Sector 1, Operation Hadin Kai.

An Intelligence source familiar with the Operation informed the YATAB Network, an NGO focused on the anti-terrorism and banditry campaign in Africa, that the troops got actionable intelligence on the presence of the terrorists at the newly established base from where they coordinated operations into the Sheutari general area.

Troops of the 73 Battalion and 222 Battalion then stormed the Boko Haram enclave located at Garin Baaba from different fronts, in conjunction with hybrid forces comprising Civilian Joint Task Force members on Tuesday, 4th, 2023.

The source revealed that "the gallant troops frontally assaulted the terrorists and overwhelmed them with superior tactics and firepower, neutralizing at least 18 fighters, while several others terrorists who managed to flee the encounter with fatal wounds", are being tracked". All structures within the enclave were equally totally obliterated."

"It was indeed a bloody day for the terrorists and a victorious day for our troops as they (the troops) successfully shattered their Centre of Gravity"

"Their days of terror are numbered as our troops are now conducting offensive operations where and where they least expect.", the source concluded.
