There will an end to Proliferation of Arms and Weapons in North East of Nigeria as the National Center for Control of Small Arms and Light Weapons (NCCSALW), North East Zone will be Partnering with the Theater Command Operation HADIN KAI OPHK to pu an end to destruction of lives and properties in the country.
The team leader, Rear Admiral SA Mohammed (Rtd) disclosed this when he led his team officials of the National Center for Control of Small Arms and Light Weapons (NCCSALW), North East Zone on a courtesy visit on Thursday 01 December, 2022 to the Theatre Commander Joint Task Force (JTF) North East (NE) Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), Maj Gen Christopher Gwabin Musa at Headquarters Theatre Command, Maimalari Military Cantonment, Maiduguri.
The team leader, Rear Admiral SA Mohammed (Rtd) disclosed that the visit was aimed at establishing a mutually beneficial relationship with the Theatre geared towards retrieving all illegal small arms and light weapons scattered all over the country.
Furthermore, Rear Admiral Mohammed (Rtd) stated that the wanton destruction of lives and property was occasioned by the proliferation of illicit weapons and then appealed for close Co-operation.
Responding, the Theatre Commander stated that the Theatre is ever willing and ready to work with the agency in order to achieve a weapons free society where socio-political, human and national development thrive.
In attendance was the Chief of Staff, Brig Gen A Idris; Officials of NCCSALW; Chief J9, Capt (NN) BA Amakiri; and the Chief J3, Col BC Eze.
