Nigeria's anti-corruption agency, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has announced the auction of assets and landed properties forfeited to the federal government.
In a public notice, titled "disposal of assets - landed properties" which was published on Saturday, EFCC listed the properties to be disposed.
According to the agency, the bid for the properties will close by 12noon on Monday, 9th of January, 2023.
"The general public is notified that the EFCC will conduct the sales of assets (landed properties) listed in the attached images.”

We had last week reported that the EFCC said following the success of the commission’s recent public auction of over 649 vehicles, it would soon commence the process of the sale of forfeited properties comprising 160 flats and apartments in 16 locations across the country.
The EFCC Chairman, Abdulrasheed Bawa, had made the disclosure while giving an account of the commission’s activities at the 62nd session of the State House Media Briefing organised by the Presidential Communications Team at Aso Rock Villa, Abuja.
Whereas the EFCC boss did not state the exact date for the exercise, he however disclosed that unlike the public auction of vehicles, some occupants of some of the properties including agencies of government would be given the right of first refusal in the sale.
Bawa had also disclosed that the commission recorded 3615 convictions between January and December 9, 2022, which surpasses the equally impressive 2220 convictions posted in 2021.
He also disclosed that by the end of October this year, the EFCC recorded over N134 billion and $121 million in monetary recovery. This he said excluded the N354 billion it recovered from an oil company in unpaid royalties.
Bawa attributed the feat to the commitment of staff and the support of both the government and the judiciary.
The commission noted that the event was the second time Bawa would feature in the programme, having first appeared in the 11th edition of the series.
