The Chief of Civil MilitaryAffairs(CCMA) today Thursday 22 December 2022 decorated newly promoted senior officer of the Department, Brigadier General CA Osuagwu with the rank badges of Brigadier General.
SpyeTV News reports that the investiture took place at the Department of Civil Military Affairs office in Abuja.
Speaking during the decoration ceremony, the CCMA, Major General MG Kangye congratulated the senior officers on their upliftment and thanked the Chief of Army Staff for finding him worthy to be elevated to the ranks of Brigadier General.
He added that the rank of a Brigadier General is a prestigious one and urged him to proffer workable solutions that would benefit the NA.
Furthermore, the former CCMA and one time.Theatre Commander Operation Lafiya Dole (Now OPERATION HADIN KAI , Major General RI Nicholas in his advice, described the newly promoted officer as a war lord who has participated actively in the ongoing war against insurgency in the North East.
He stated that the promotion was not a mistake as it was made possible by God and encouraged him to live up to the rank by being proactive.
Brigadier General CA Osuagwu expressed gratitude to Almighty God and thanked the COAS for finding him worthy for promotion even as he assured that he will not disappoint the NA in the discharge of their duties.
He appreciated senior officers and their families for their support towards the progress of his promotion and pledged his loyalty to continue to give his best in the service to the fatherland.
Dignitaries that graced the occasion include, Chief of Special Project and Programmes, Major General Solomon Udofia, Directors and Deputy Directors from the Department , spouse of the newly promoted officer and their families among others.
