The Magajiyas of Maimalari Barracks community has on Saturday, 29 October, 2022, showered encomiums on the Theatre Commander Joint Task Force (JTF) North East (NE) Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), Major General Christopher Musa at the Theatre Headquarters for prioritizing the welfare of the barracks community through the provision of requisite basic amenities needed to make life easier for troops and their families inhabiting the barracks.
The women commended Maj Gen Musa for his concern about the well being of the barracks community particularly the provision of pipe borne water and creation of hygienic environment as well as relaxing atmosphere all across the barracks.
They disclosed that the issue of water has been an age long challenge faced by barracks residents, but today, they enjoy good quality water circulating to all parts of the barracks.
The Theatre Commander thanked them for making out time to visit him. He also appreciated them for taking good care of the home front while their husbands are away protecting the territorial integrity of the country.
Maj Gen Musa further urge them to continue to look after their home and raise responsible children with good morals and behaviour, because they are the 'leaders of tomorrow'.
Furthermore, the Theatre Commander stated that all the basic amenities they are enjoying is an extension of the magnanimity of the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Faruk Yahaya in ensuring that the welfare of troops and their families are met.
In his words, the Theatre Commander stated that "the COAS is committed to making life easy for personnel and their families and we Should all be grateful for the kind of COAS we have", he said.
Apart form the renovation of blocks, and construction of new structures, the Theatre Commander also assured them of more projects to be done, particularly the restoration of steady power supply in the entire barracks.
