Multiple airstrikes by two Nigerian Air Force, NAF, fighter jets have killed many of the Islamic State of West African (ISWAP) terrorists in air raids in the North East of Damboa, in Borno state.

SpyeTV News gathered that the terrorists were neutralized on Sunday after the Super Tukano bombed a moving convoy of the insurgents in the axis between Shettima Abbor and  Galmasku.

An Intelligence Sources told Zagazola Makama, a Counter Insurgency Expert and Security Analyst in the Lake Chad that the strikes  were carried out following surveillance missions showing two moving vehicles and several motorcycles conveying many fighters.

The sources said that the fighter jets dispatched for the military operation scored an accurate hit at the convoy, resulting in the destruction of one hilux vehicle, killing all its occupants.

According to a NAF intelligence operative, the  bombardments also eliminated some of the  terrorists on mottocycles while others escaped.

He said the subsidiary operation was an air interdiction operation aimed at taking out identified terrorists’ targets in the Lake Chad and Sambisa Forest areas of Borno.

“The Armed Forces of Nigeria, operating in concert with other security agencies and stakeholders, will sustain its efforts to rid the North East of all terrorists and other criminal elements,” he said.
