PRNigeria - A notorious bandit leader in Kaduna State, Ali Dogo, and 30 of his fighters have been neutralized, PRNigeria reports. It was learnt that Dogo, also known as Yellow, and his gang members, were neutralized by airstrikes undertaken by the Air Component of Operation WHIRL Punch, over the weekend. While confirming the bombardments of Yellow and his fighters, a defence intelligence source told PRNigeria that the notorious bandit leader, and his terrorists had fled from Niger State to one Alhaji Gwarzo’s house at Yadi in Giwa Local Government Area for safety, following NAF aircrafts sustained bombardments on his location in Niger, recently.
2. SECURITY OPERATIVES APPREHEND SUSPECTED BANDIT, GUNRUNNER IN KADUNA, NIGER.

According to a counter-insurgency expert, Zagazola Makama, Tukur Mamu deliberately convinced the Bandits that abducted Abuja-Kaduna train passengers to make an outrageous increase of the initial ransom they demanded from the families. In a post, Zagazola Makama disclosed that Tukur Mamu thwarted the initial ransom raised by the family and encouraged the bandits to demand 1.5 billion Naira as payment for their freedom. The family of abducted victims raised the sum of N600million to rescue the rest of the 26 train kidnapped victims but Sheikh Gumi's Aide, Tukur Mamu bridged the deal with the sole aim of making the bandits rake more than 1 billion Naira.

Gatekeepers - Nigerian Navy has received no fewer than 86 confiscated drones from the Nigerian Customs Service. Gatekeepers News reports that the drones were those imported by individuals and organisations without an End User Certificate. The Comptroller General of Customs, Col Hameed Ali (retd.), while presenting the drones to the Navy at the FCT’s Command warehouse on Tuesday, said the drones were intercepted at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport and were subsequently forfeited to the government.

Gatekeepers - Officials of the Nigerian Navy in Delta State, Southern Nigeria have destroyed an illegal oil bunkering vessel arrested with stolen crude oil aboard Niger Delta creeks. 17. NSCDC ARRESTS 16 SUSPECTED OIL THIEVES IN RIVERS.
Premiumtimes - The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Rivers State on Tuesday paraded 16 suspected oil thieves involved in illegal refining of crude oil to produce diesel. The corps commandant in the state, Michael Ogar, paraded the 16 male suspects before reporters in Port Harcourt. He said they were arrested by operatives of NSCDC and the Nigerian Navy during separate raids at different locations in the state. According to him, the operations led to the seizure of about 200,000 litres of adulterated diesel that was being readied for distribution to unsuspecting motorists in the state.

Vanguard - SOME officials of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, in Ogun State, yesterday, cried out, to the Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, for help over what they described as a ‘lopsided promotion exercise’. The officials lamented that they have only been promoted once since they enlisted into the corps in 2010. It was gathered that no fewer than 150 officials of the corps in Ogun State are affected by the alleged lopsided promotion.
