The Commandant, headquarters Nigerian Army College of Logistics (NACOL) Ojo, Major General AA Adeyinka has said the College is planning to expand on Human Capacity Development by adding new courses to its curricula (JLSOC/SLSOC).
Major General AA Adeyinka made this known when he received the Commander Nigerian Army Ordinance Corps Major General AM Alabi and members of his entourage during a familiarization visit to Headquarters Nigerian Army College of Logistics (NACOL) Ojo.
In his welcome remarks, the Commandant expressed happiness to play host to the CC Ord who is one of the Members of the College’s Governing Board. The Commandant further stated that the College would be glad to benefit from the wealth of experience of the CC Ord.
Furthermore, the Commandant also spoke glowingly about his predecessor who was able to move the College from having an average of about 50 to 60 students initially to now having 102 students and still expecting that by January 2023 the College May have about 220 students of both Logistics Staff Course (LSC), Junior Leadership and Staff Officers Course (JLSOC) and Senior Leadership and Staff Officers Courses (SLSOC).
This number may even get up to 287 students by July 2023 when about 3 courses would be running concurrently.
The Commandant intimated the CC Ord about the accommodation challenges of the College. He however noted that AHQ is making frantic efforts to solve the accommodation problem.
Additionally, the Commandant spoke on a proposal to change the College’s name so as to align with the new mandate of the College with consideration to the new courses added to its curricula (JLSOC/SLSOC).
He further stressed on the proposal for a new Organogram of the College as the proposal is presently gaining adequate attention at the AHQ.
Major General Adeyinka in his remarks noted other challenges being faced at the moment in the College, amongst which are issues of inadequate uniforms, tentages and nets. Others are rain coats and boots.
He solicited for the assistance of the CC Ord to graciously look at the challenges with a view to assisting the College to overcome them. The Commandant assured the CC Ord that the College is on track and focused and most importantly open to guidance from the CC Ord.
In his response, Maj Gen AM Alabi thanked the Commandant for inviting him to the College. He reiterated that the College of Logistics is of an international status and stressed the need for highly qualified and competent hands to come to the College in order to achieve the mandate.
He added that he will go back and work out capable Colonels and lieutenant Colonels that are good with the new promotion that could be posted to come and support the effort of the Commandant.

The visit had in attendance the Deputy Commandant/Director of Studies NACOL, Brigadier General MW Abubakar, Director Equipment and Stores Brigadier General AP Ahmadu, Commander Central Vehicle Depot Ojo, Brigadier General VE Emah, distinguished Chief Instructors and Staff Officers of NACOL amongst others.
